New to the IEP Process?

If you are a parent of a child that is currently being assessed for a potential Individualized Education Program (IEP), your first meeting can be a bit overwhelming. Know that there are some wonderful resources available to guide you in this process. MBUSD is hosting "Introduction to IEPs" at the District Office from 9-10 a.m. on November 14, 2023 and December 19, 2023. If you can't make to either of these in-person sessions, you can attend the "Understanding the IEP Process” workshop via Zoom on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, hosted by the Community Advisory Committee (CAC), a consortium of multiple school districts. Finally, parents can also seek information and support from fellow parents via your school's Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC) Site Reps: ABC and XYZ (insert names with email links to school's site reps, found on this SEAC Reps List).
