The Collaborative Inquiry Visit consists of administrator/staff teams observing MBUSD signature practices (Reading Workshop, Writing Workshop, Cognitively Guided Instruction/Balanced Mathematics) and the shifts towards the Common Core State Standards. The purpose is to promote the consistent use of best practices that are aligned with district goals and school goals. Additionally, CIVs promote collaboration among principals and with district support staff, and continuous improvement in teachers and administrators toward goal attainment.
