The Manhattan Beach Education Foundation (MBEF), in collaboration with MBUSD, will welcome New York Times bestselling author and renowned children’s author Susan Verde to Manhattan Beach to kick off Social Emotional Learning Week (SEL) at MBUSD. Join us on Wednesday, February 28, at 5:30 p.m. at Mira Costa High School Auditorium for an inspirational evening with Susan Verde. The presentation is open to all ages.

Susan's books on cultivating empathy and compassion in ourselves and others have landed them as favorites among teachers, parents, and psychologists. Susan recently released "Who I Am," an uplifting picture book full of positive aspirations encouraging kids to practice self-love daily. The event is possible thanks to the MBEF Educator Grant Program and our MBUSD Library Resource Specialists.
