Things to know……
- This is an inclusive show so all acts will be accepted as long as they are complete, tasteful and well-rehearsed for auditions.
- The show is limited to only 5th graders.
- Acts are strictly limited to a 2 ½ minute maximum.
- Students may only participate in one act.
- Performers must commit to the rehearsal and show schedule. If more than one rehearsal is missed, your act will not be able to perform in the show.
- Edited music can either come to auditions on a device with itunes or spotify or the digital file may be emailed to Kelly Fortmann
- Music must be pre-approved by the principal
Interested in being the Master of Ceremonies?
This role consists of greeting the audience and introducing acts. Sign up for an audition time and prepare to introduce yourself and present a short (pretend) introduction of a talent show act.
Stage Crew:
Do you want to help backstage with microphones and props? Awesome! We need your help! Please come to the audition sign ups on May 3rd after school to sign up to be part of the talent show stage crew! Please note that stage crew members must attend rehearsals.
Audition Info:
There will be an audition sign-up sheet outside of the cafeteria on FRIDAY, May 3rd after school. Auditions will take place on Thursday May 9th from 2:35 – 5:00pm. You do not need to be present for the entire 2.5 hours. There will be specific time slots for each act to audition. Please arrive 10 minutes before your time and bring your props and music and be ready to go. You do not need to be in full costume/make up.

Friday May 3 – Sign Ups after school at the table outside the 5th grade classrooms
Thursday, May 9 – Auditions from 2:35 – 5:00
Thursday, May 16 – Rehearsal Act 1 from 2:45-4:45
Thursday, May 23 – Rehearsal Act 2 from 2:45-4:45
Friday, May 31 – Full Cast Rehearsal/Finale from 2:45-4:45
Wednesday, June 5 - Final Dress Rehearsal 2:45-5
Thursday, June 6 – Show Time 6:30pm
Thursday, June 6 - Two in school performances for Meadows students/staff times (8:20am-9:20am & 1pm-2pm)
