Calling All Students! GET CREATIVE & BE RECOGNIZED!

The Reflections Art Contest is back and better than EVER! 

This year's theme is “Show Your Voice”

We encourage all Meadows Mustang students to unleash their creative super powers and create original works of art this fall. Open up your imaginations and inspire people by showing your voice! In this contest, demonstrating the spirit of the theme is highly valued.  
 
The Reflections contest deadline will be approximately October 17th, 2022.
 

PTA Reflections is a national PTA Arts competition that welcomes students of all grades to get involved in the arts. Everyone is encouraged to enter, students do not have to be an artist to submit. Your submission could be recognized and move on to compete at the district level. This year’s PTA Reflections theme is “Show Your Voice”!


Physical or digital submissions will be allowed this year. The student entry form can be found HERE. Entry rules are located within the student entry form. Please submit the attached student form with your completed artwork to Erin Lutz by the deadline.
 

We welcome works of art in six categories:

  • Dance Choreography 
  • Film Production 
  • Literature 
  • Musical Composition 
  • Photography 
  • Visual Arts

Local winners in each category go on to compete at the district/region and state levels. 

**Students with disabilities may choose to participate in the Special Artist division, which has modified rules to accommodate special needs. Please see Special Artist rules for more details.**

RULES

We ask that you take a minute to review the rules, which vary by category. Rules are summarized below and a complete link to rules is at the very bottom of this page.

Entries must be submitted in correct format in order to advance.

Additionally, each entry must be accompanied by an entry form HERE. 

  • Dance Choreography: Upload AVI or MP4 file.  Video must not exceed 5 minutes in length and 1 GB in file size.
  • Film Production: Upload AVI or MP4 file.  Video must not exceed 5 minutes in length and 1 GB in file size. 
  • Literature: Upload document.
  • Music Composition: Upload MP3 or WAV file.   Upload audio file.  Audio recording must not exceed 5 minutes in length and 1 GB in file size. 

Notation must be included for middle and high school submissions.  Lyrics for songs is highly encouraged to be included for all divisions. Upload notation and lyrics, if applicable, here.

  • Photography: Upload photo.
  • Visual Arts: Upload photo of artwork or contact rep for the submission drop-off date. For 3D artwork upload 3 photos of the entry (a combination of angles).
