Dear Meadows Community,
As we near the end of week 3 of online learning, I know that some of us are really looking forward to unstructured days as much as others are dreading it. For this reason, I am providing a document I created that has many resources for you and your family to have PLENTY to do during the downtime. All activities are optional and teachers will not be collecting any work at the end of spring break. School will resume on Tuesday, April 14.

Here is a brief message from the American Heart Association, which is mentioned in my Spring Break Update:
Our partners at the AHA also understand that every family has been affected in unique and different ways by the pandemic, and want us to know that their hearts are with us! Those who have special hearts are at higher risk for COVID-19, so they are working hard to support those families, as well as the general public. The AHA is currently funding $2.5M to medical research projects that are dedicated to finding a COVID-19 treatment/vaccine, and locally they are helping to facilitate more school meals pickups around LA. If you or a family member or friend has been affected by heart disease or stroke and you would like to support the AHA with a donation – you still have that opportunity through the app and website. If your child earned any thank you gifts through their participation, please note the AHA will be sure these are distributed as soon as schools reopen.
If you'd like your child to Zoom with me this Friday afternoon and show us their pet or favorite stuffy, please join us at the following times:
2:00-2:15 - Kindergarten
2:15-2:30 - First and Second Grade
2:30-2:45 - Third Grade
2:45-3:00 - Fourth and Fifth Grade

My hope is that you all enjoy a SAFE and HEALTHY spring break.
